Info
Formed in Leeds in 1986 by Wayne Hussey and Craig Adams after their time in The Sisters of Mercy, The Mission forged a blend of gothic rock, post-punk and alternative rock that marked the late 80s and 90s. From the impact of God’s Own Medicine and Children to Carved in Sand and Masque, then later Aura, God Is a Bullet and Another Fall from Grace, the band has kept a steady line through lineup changes and decades of touring, with songs built on ringing guitars and a dark, melodic drive.
To mark 40 years of God’s Own Medicine, The Mission stages a four-night residency at O2 Forum Kentish Town. On Friday 6 November 2026 at O2 Forum Kentish Town, London, the set focuses on a best-of pulled from God’s Own Medicine, Carved in Sand, Masque, Blue, God Is a Bullet and Another Fall from Grace. The run also maps out the band’s catalogue across the other nights: Wednesday 4 features God’s Own Medicine in full plus B-sides; Thursday 5 draws from The First Chapter, Children, Grains of Sand, Neverland, Aura and The Brightest Light; Saturday 7 offers Kith and Kin, by request.
