Info
Scissor Sisters return to the UK stage on 29 May 2026 at Chalk, Brighton and Hove. Born in the queer nightlife of early-2000s New York, the band blends glam, disco, electroclash and pop rock with a club-minded sense of theatre. The current trio, Jake Shears, Babydaddy and Del Marquis, brings a lean setup built for hooks, grooves and small surprises.
The set draws on the group’s milestones: the breakout cover of Comfortably Numb, the bounce of I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’ co-written with Elton John, and the late-night pulse of Night Work crafted with Stuart Price. Across these tracks and newer material, guitars and synths trade lines, rhythms lock into four-to-the-floor patterns, and choruses land with the immediacy that once propelled their Lower East Side club shows onto big stages.
Reformed in 2024 after a long pause, Scissor Sisters play with the same mix of showmanship and dance instinct that carried them through venues and festivals worldwide. At Chalk, the focus is simple: songs that move, arrangements that breathe, and a stage dynamic shaped by three players who know how to make pop connect in a live room.
