Info
Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox rewires today’s hits into styles from another era. Founded by pianist and arranger Scott Bradlee, the collective takes pop, hip-hop and R&B and rebuilds them as swing, ragtime, doo-wop, soul or big band numbers, with a rotating cast of vocalists bringing their own tone to each arrangement. On 21 May 2026 at Bristol Beacon in Bristol, The Future Is Vintage Tour 2026 puts that concept on stage with live horns, upright piano, a driving rhythm section and voices that move from croon to shout.
Born on YouTube, PMJ has grown into a live act where familiar melodies slip into the feel of the 1920s to the 1960s. The set moves between speakeasy swing, torch songs and Motown-leaning grooves, shaped by arrangements grounded in vintage forms. At the center, Bradlee leads from the keyboard, cueing the band and giving each singer room for the spotlight. Modern songs, classic aesthetics, delivered live in Bristol.
