Edinburgh Summer Sessions brings The Prodigy to the Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, on 29 August 2026. Forged by Liam Howlett with the live fire of MC Maxim, the group push rave energy into hard-edged electronics, breakbeats and punk attitude. From early XL-era cuts to later anthems, their shows move fast, pivoting between heavy basslines, siren synths and call-and-response that turns the crowd into one voice.
Scarlxrd adds a raw splice of trap and metal, all clipped 808s, blown-out bass and serrated screams. His set is direct and physical, jumping from pummelling verses to hooks built to shout back, with lyrics circling isolation, pressure and self-drive.
Carl Cox locks the dance floor with long-form mixing that threads techno, house and rave DNA. Expect steady momentum, tight blends and a focus on groove architecture that builds patiently, drop after drop.
David Rodigan rounds the bill with reggae and dancehall selection rooted in sound system culture. Classics, dubplates and modern cuts converse in a narrative that connects roots, rub-a-dub and current riddims.
