Tash Sultana

On 5 August 2026, Tash Sultana brings their solo loop-driven show to Kelvingrove Bandstand in Glasgow. Emerging from Melbourne’s indie scene with street performances and self-released recordings, Tash built a profile by crafting songs in real time, layering instruments and textures until a full band seems to appear on stage. Jungle, from the 2016 Notion EP, opened the door to a wider audience; since then Flow State (2018) and Terra Firma (2021) have refined the balance between studio detail and live spontaneity.

The set roams between psychedelic rock, indie, soul, reggae and flashes of folk, with improvisation at its core. Guitars swell into looping grooves, keys and effects shade the edges, and that elastic, expressive voice drives the dynamics from hushed lines to slow-burn builds. The repertoire draws across both albums and leaves space for detours, reworks and extended passages. Along the way, Tash’s collaborations with artists like Milky Chance or Matt Corby hint at a wide musical map, but this date is all about the immediacy and control of a one-person band in full flow.
