Info

The Bluetones mark 30 years of their debut Expecting To Fly with a return to the stage. On 14 October 2026 at Brudenell Social Club, Leeds, the Britpop-rooted quartet will play the album in full, revisiting the clean guitars, sharp melodies and gently melancholic tone that defined their early sound. The set will also draw from a back catalogue that includes three Top 10 albums and thirteen Top 40 singles, balancing crowd favourites with a few deeper cuts.

Expecting To Fly debuted at No. 1 in the UK, briefly nudging Oasis from the top spot, while Slight Return reached No. 2. Still together in their original line-up, Mark Morriss (vocals), Adam Devlin (guitar), Eds Chesters (drums) and Scott Morriss (bass) reconnect with the spark that ran through those first singles and the records that followed. Between the full-album run-through and a selection of later tracks, this date offers a straight shot of the band’s melodic instincts and tight playing, framed by songs that have aged with quiet confidence.
