Info
Kingfishr bring their harmony-led folk and indie blend to Edinburgh Corn Exchange, Edinburgh, on 25 August 2026. Formed in Limerick during their university years, the trio unites singer-guitarist Eddie Keogh with bandmates McGoo and Fitz. Their writing folds melodic folk into an alternative edge and a light indie-pop touch, built on acoustic guitar, restrained percussion and tight vocal arrangements. The songs often circle landscapes, family ties and the shift into adulthood.
Shared online before breaking out as singles, tracks like Flowers-Fire and Anyway sketched the band’s contours: open, memorable choruses and gradual climbs that favour tension over flash. On stage, Kingfishr keep things direct and focused, letting harmonies and dynamics do the work. Sets move from hushed fingerpicking to steady, rolling grooves, with refrains that carry without forcing it. Years of shows across Ireland and the UK, from small rooms to festival slots, have sharpened their timing and feel. In Edinburgh, expect a set anchored by their singles to date, delivered with the clear, accessible energy that defines the trio.
