Info
Holy Holy land at The 1865 in Southampton on 9 September 2026. The Australian duo of Timothy Carroll and Oscar Dawson has been shaping its sound since the early 2010s, first trading ideas between Europe and Australia before settling into the indie scene back home. What started as melodic alternative rock with wide-open guitars and traces of folk, psych and country has gradually tilted toward sleeker textures: synth lines, a touch of new wave and disco, and a pared-back electronic pop sensibility that keeps the project’s rock backbone intact.
On stage, Carroll’s clear, direct songwriting meets Dawson’s sharp sense of arrangement. The pair expand to a full band, stacking harmonies, guitar layers and synths to shift easily from driving riffs to twilight atmospheres and more danceable grooves. Expect a set that spans their path from The Pacific EP through When the Storms Would Come, Paint and My Own Pool of Light to Hello My Beautiful World and Cellophane, tracing how the duo balances pulse and mood without losing focus. Songs tighten, open out, then circle back to melodies built to stay with you long after the last chorus.
