Info

On 4 July 2026, James Arthur brings his catalogue to The Piece Hall in Halifax. Raised in Middlesbrough and revealed in 2012 by The X Factor, he has since built a path around songwriting and a voice at ease with pop, soul and R&B, shaded by rock grit and touches of hip-hop. His trajectory runs through a sequence of albums that map his range: the self-titled debut in 2013, Back from the Edge in 2016, You in 2019, and It’ll All Make Sense in the End in 2021. Recent chapters Bitter Sweet Love (2024) and Pisces (2025) lean into guitars and a more direct production, while keeping the melodic core and confessional writing of his early ballads.

On stage, Arthur moves between stripped ballads and denser arrangements, letting the songs lead. The set can pull from across these records, tracing the line between intimate storytelling and radio-friendly hooks. Along the way, collaborations with Rudimental, Sigala, Anne-Marie and Machine Gun Kelly have widened his palette without blurring his signature focus on melody and delivery. A date that puts the spotlight on the voice and the craft behind it, in a setting made for open-air pop with character.
