Teenage Fanclub return to Glasgow on 14 November 2026 at Saint Luke's & The Winged Ox. Formed in Bellshill in 1989, the band shaped a sound of chiming guitars, unadorned melodies and close harmonies, drifting between power pop, jangle and indie rock. From the rougher A Catholic Education to the more streamlined Bandwagonesque, then Thirteen, Grand Prix and Songs from Northern Britain, their writing found a steady groove of mid-tempo tunes and interlaced guitars. After Howdy!, Man-Made, Shadows and Here, the group continued following Gerard Love’s departure with Endless Arcade and Nothing Lasts Forever, keeping the shared vocal approach of Norman Blake and Raymond McGinley and a clear, restrained touch in the arrangements. On stage, they lean on melody over volume: warm harmonies, guitars that ring rather than blaze, and a set that moves through the catalogue without showiness, letting the songs breathe and do the work.
