Shed Seven: « A Maximum High 30th Anniversary »

On 6 June 2026 at The Piece Hall in Halifax, Shed Seven mark the 30th anniversary of A Maximum High on stage. Formed in York in 1990, the band found its place in the 90s British scene with melodic guitars, straight-ahead hooks and a live energy that carried them from the local circuit to a deal with Polydor. After their debut Change Giver (1994), A Maximum High (1996) cemented their approach, followed by Let It Ride (1998) and Truth Be Told (2001). A split in 2003 paused the story before a 2007 reunion put them back on the road and later back in the studio with Instant Pleasures (2017).

Today, the group revolves around frontman Rick Witter and bassist Tom Gladwin, with guitarists Joe Johnson and Paul Banks across different eras, and more recent additions such as Tim Wills and Rob Maxfield. Between tours and new recordings, they’ve kept the catalogue alive, returning in 2024 with A Matter of Time and Liquid Gold, a set of reworkings. This date turns the spotlight on A Maximum High, revisiting that chapter while folding it into three decades of songs.
