Info

Static-X brings its industrial-tinged “evil disco” back to Belfast on 16 June 2026 at Limelight. Formed in Los Angeles in 1994 by Wayne Static and drummer Ken Jay, the band forged a blend of mechanized groove, electronic textures and nu metal bite. Wisconsin Death Trip put them on the map in 1999, followed by Machine, Shadow Zone, Start a War, Cannibal and Cult of Static, shaping a language of syncopated riffs, martial pulses and direct choruses. After Wayne Static’s death in 2014, Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda and Ken Jay regrouped in 2018, with the masked vocalist Xer0 carrying the vocals live and on record. This new chapter led to Project: Regeneration Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, built in part from Wayne’s archived takes.

On stage, Static-X leans into precise, percussive guitars, piston-like rhythms and cold electronics that lock the groove while the hooks stay sharp. A set that traces the band’s path from the early breakout to its regenerated present, carried by the sound that made Static-X distinct.
