Anna von Hausswolff

Info

Swedish singer, composer and organist Anna von Hausswolff brings a live set shaped by the voice and the pipe organ, where long, hovering textures meet drone, dark ambient and slow-burning rock. Coming from the independent scene in Gothenburg, she has pushed her songwriting toward extended forms, liturgical harmonies and repetitive motifs that play with tension and release. On stage, pieces evolve patiently: chants and sustained notes grow into dense waves, the organ carrying both melody and grain, leaving room for silence and resonance.

Her repertoire draws from Ceremony, The Miraculous, Dead Magic and the instrumental All Thoughts Fly, moving between intimate processionals and heavier, hypnotic passages. It’s music that listens to space as much as it fills it, working with decay, echo and breath to build a physical, immersive presence.

Anna von Hausswolff plays on September 2, 2026 at Saint Luke’s & The Winged Ox in Glasgow. A concert focused on timbre and atmosphere, where each overtone and drone line becomes part of the narrative.
