Info

Ray LaMontagne brings his Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour to Waterfront Hall, Belfast, on 22 May 2026. Two decades after his debut, the New Hampshire songwriter revisits the songs that introduced his husky voice and pared-back acoustic writing, where folk rock, Americana and a touch of soul meet. Trouble set the tone in 2004 with unhurried tempos, warm guitars and melodies that lean into doubt, love and inner weather; the albums that followed widened the frame, from the roots feel of God Willin’ & the Creek Don’t Rise with The Pariah Dogs to the psych shades of Supernova and the atmospheric arcs of Ouroboros, before a return to stripped-back textures on Part of the Light and Monovision.

On stage, LaMontagne keeps the focus on the song, solo or with a full band, giving space to the grain of his voice and the dynamics of the arrangements. This anniversary date reconnects with the intimate core of Trouble while tracing a line through twenty years of songwriting, between quiet confession and a lightly electrified folk rock.
