Against The Current

Against The Current play Leeds Beckett Students’ Union in Leeds on 31 October 2026, with their blend of melodic pop rock, pop punk and alternative textures led by singer Chrissy Costanza. Formed in Poughkeepsie in the early 2010s, the trio — Costanza, guitarist Dan Gow and drummer Will Ferri — first took off online before releasing the EPs Infinity (2014) and Gravity (2015). They signed to Fueled By Ramen for their debut album In Our Bones (2016), then pushed toward a more synth‑forward writing on Past Lives (2018). In 2017, their track Legends Never Die with Riot Games for the League of Legends World Championship carried their name beyond the rock circuit and into gaming culture. The Fever EP (2021) marked a darker, more direct turn, with concise songs built for the stage. Live, the band leans on tight guitars, precise drums and choruses that stick, drawing across their catalog from the early EPs to the most recent releases — a clear snapshot of a trio that writes with hooks and plays with intent.
