From the Jam

Info

On 24 May 2026 at Brudenell Social Club, Leeds, From The Jam mark the 40th anniversary of Setting Sons. Led by original Jam bassist Bruce Foxton alongside vocalist-guitarist Russell Hastings, they revisit the fourth album and dip into the wider songbook. Expect staples like The Eton Rifles and Smithers-Jones, played by a lineup completed by Mike Randon on drums and Andy Fairclough on Hammond and piano. Hastings has fronted the project since 2007, having worked closely with Foxton (and formerly Rick Buckler), and has also collaborated with Paul Weller, Wilko Johnson and Steve Cropper.

Special guests The Vapors join the bill, echoing their role on the 1979 Setting Sons tour. The Guildford band reconnects with the new wave edge of that period, bringing the UK chart singles that shaped them: Turning Japanese, News at Ten and Jimmie Jones. Together, both acts revisit the late-70s mod revival through songs that marked that era.
