Info
The Great Escape presents Peaches at Brighton Dome on 15 May 2026. Born in Toronto and long based in Berlin, Merrill Nisker, alias Peaches, a key figure of electroclash, a sound fusing minimal drum machines, abrasive synths, punk lineage and hip-hop inflections. Her lyrics confront questions of gender, the body and sexuality with a frank, conversational edge. Across The Teaches of Peaches, Fatherfucker, Impeach My Bush, I Feel Cream and Rub, she has shaped a direct, club-minded approach to pop electronics and performance.
On stage, Peaches blurs concert and performance, drawing on theatre and visual art, a path she extended with the stage-and-film project Peaches Does Herself. The live format favors bass-forward arrangements, call-and-response hooks and a tight sense of rhythm that carries from track to track. Collaborations with Gonzales and Iggy Pop punctuate a career built across alternative circuits in Europe and North America. At Brighton Dome, she brings that hybrid, high-energy setup to revisit a catalogue that has left a mark on both clubs and independent venues.
