Magnum + special guests Grand Slam

Magnum open a new chapter while honouring the legacy of their late founder, guitarist and songwriter Tony Clarkin. For over five decades, the Birmingham band has shaped a melodic, narrative-driven rock that still anchors their live shows. Led today by vocalist Bob Catley, they bring Clarke’s writing to the forefront, mêling classic cuts and newer titles into a set that looks back without standing still. The Next Chapter arrives on 1 October 2026 at Boiler Shop, Newcastle upon Tyne.

After Tony’s passing, the group paid tribute with The Passage in Time, a series built around his most emblematic pieces. This new tour carries that energy forward, focusing on the songs themselves: clear, ringing guitars, keys that frame the melodies, and stories that unfold track after track. It’s a way of keeping the band’s DNA intact while moving ahead.

Special guests Grand Slam join the bill, opening the evening with their own take on guitar-led rock and setting the tone for Magnum’s return.
