Jinkx Monsoon « Speaking of Witch »

Jinkx Monsoon brings her live show Speaking of Witch to O2 Academy Glasgow on 16 July 2026. Portland-born and Seattle-bred, Jinkx moves between drag, cabaret, musical theatre and songwriting with ease. After early runs in Seattle productions of Rent, Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Hairspray, she reached a wider public by winning RuPaul’s Drag Race season 5, then returned for All Stars 7 in 2022. Her discography sketches the range: the retro cabaret swing of The Inevitable Album (2014) and the grungier, garage-tinged The Ginger Snapped (2018), with detours through jazz, blues, pop and alt rock.

On stage she often teams with BenDeLaCreme for holiday shows, and in the studio she has worked with Fred Schneider and Amanda Palmer. Away from the club circuit, she’s taken roles across Broadway and TV, including Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors and Doctor Who. Speaking of Witch leans into that mix: songs, stories and character work folded into a theatrical, witty set that sits somewhere between concert and cabaret, carried by her sharp timing and elastic voice.
