Info
Marco Castello returns to the Piccolo Parco Urbano in Bagheria (Palermo) on Friday, 26 June 2026 for a summer date dedicated to Quaglia Sovversiva, his new work. A musician and singer-songwriter from Syracuse, he brings to the stage a songwriting that weaves together Italian song, light soul, jazz, understated funk and rhythms inspired by Brazil and the Mediterranean, with a clearly Sicilian grounding.
Attached to the sounds of the 1970s, Castello seeks the naturalness of instruments and keeps effects and post-production to a minimum. His measured voice and taste for essential arrangements support ironic lyrics, drawn to the contrast between the beauties and the squalors of the present, in a lucid portrait of a certain universal provincialism.
In concert he alternates new tracks with songs from Contenta tu (2021), building a set with a relaxed pace and a lean groove, attentive to timbral subtleties. His path includes collaborations with Erlend Øye & La Comitiva, Nu Genea, Fulminacci, Mace and Colapesce Dimartino: encounters that have refined the dialogue between guitars, horns and light rhythms, the heart of his live performance.
