P38 is a rap-trap collective with a punk attitude that was formed in 2020 with the intention of bringing an extreme-left imagery into the genre. They burst onto the Italian underground at the end of 2021 with their first self-produced album, Nuove BR, which led them to perform live first in Italy and then across Europe.

Dubbed by the press "the minstrels of the Red Brigades," they were investigated by the Turin public prosecutor’s office for incitement to commit crimes with the aggravating circumstance of terrorism because of their lyrics. The peculiar nature of their case attracted the attention of legal scholars, the Italian cultural world and the international press.

The three members of the group, Astore, Jimmy Pentothal and Yung Stalin, remain anonymous and perform wearing white balaclavas. Their concerts are distinguished by the energy of the performances and have been described as "a collective and liberating rite, where repressed hatred of institutional and structural violence is transformed into love among comrades."

On 20 February 2025 they announced the release of their second album, Dittatura, accompanied by a club tour in Italy’s major cities. In November 2025 the investigation against them was shelved and, on that occasion, Istigazione was announced: an end-of-April event at Alcatraz in Milan, performed with a live band and featuring guest artists.
