Info
Chat Pile brings its tense, abrasive mix of noise rock and sludge metal to Button Factory in Dublin on 19 August 2026. Formed in Oklahoma City, the quartet — Raygun Busch, Luther Manhole, Stin and Cap'n Ron — takes its name from the mining waste heaps that mark their region, a stark image that runs through their lyrics and aesthetics. On stage, they lean into dissonant riffs, heavy, repetitive rhythms and a voice that shifts from spoken phrasing to a harsh bark, shaping songs around unease, saturation and a kind of social realism.
After two 2019 EPs, This Dungeon Earth and Remove Your Skin Please, the band gathered those early tracks, signed with The Flenser and released God’s Country in 2022, which brought wider attention in the US and Europe. They toured more broadly the following years, including a Roadburn set later issued as Live at Roadburn 2023. Cool World, released in 2024, pushed the same approach with noise tension, metal weight and post-punk accents, while side steps like a split with Nerver and a 2025 collaboration with Hayden Pedigo sketched other routes. In Dublin, Chat Pile carries that line live, taut and heavy.
