Sven-Ingvars brings Igår. Idag. Imorgon. 70 år. to Scalateatern in Karlstad on 24 November 2026. Formed in 1956 in Slottsbron, the band has moved with ease between early rock’n’roll, Swedish pop and the danceband tradition, building a songbook that’s become part of everyday Swedish culture. Across the years, the core sound has stayed rooted in steady grooves, guitar-forward arrangements and plainspoken lyrics in Swedish, the kind that invite a chorus. Titles like Te’ dans me’ Karlstatösera, Fröken Fräken, Börja om från början and Vid din sida still anchor their sets, alongside songs picked up over later decades. A footnote that says a lot: in 1963, at a concert in Karlstad, the Beatles opened for them.

After the passing of singer Sven-Erik Magnusson in 2017, the band continued with his son Oscar Magnusson at the mic, carrying the repertoire forward without losing the grain of the original voice. This anniversary show looks back and ahead in equal measure, stitching yesterday, today and tomorrow into one continuous line. Expect a tour through the band’s eras, from rock-tinged early tracks to dancefloor-leaning favorites, arranged for the current lineup and framed by stories and melodies from Värmland that have followed them on the road for 70 years.
