Weatherday

Weatherday is the bedroom-born solo project of Swedish artist Lola, also active under the name Sputnik. Shaped by online DIY communities, the music folds lo-fi indie, emo edges and shoegaze textures into long, shifting pieces. Layered guitars blur into saturation, drums hit with a rough, off-kilter feel, and filtered vocals thread fragile melodies through noisier passages. Non‑linear structures and abrupt transitions are part of the method, embracing imperfections as a sound choice rather than a flaw.

The project found its form with the self-produced album Come In in 2019, then widened the palette with Weatherglow in 2022, a collaboration with Seoul musician Asian Glow that leans toward denser, post‑rock dynamics. In parallel, Lola explores more electronic, introspective ideas as Lola’s Pocket PC, feeding new textures back into Weatherday’s writing.

On May 10, 2026 at Hydrozagadka in Warsaw, Weatherday brings this studio grammar to the stage: a set that trades verse‑chorus habits for tension and release, moving from close-up, lo‑fi intimacy to noise-splashed crescendos without breaking the thread.
