Info
Cock Sparrer, formed in 1972 in London’s East End by Colin McFaull, Mick Beaufoy, Steve Burgess and Steve Bruce, stands on the most direct edge of British punk, anchored in Oi! and street punk. Their sound folds punk urgency into pub rock grit, rhythm and blues inflections, and traces of glam and 60s beat, while the lyrics stay close to everyday working‑class life. Early on came the Decca singles Running Riot and We Love You and an album first issued in Spain, followed by Shock Troops and Running Riot in '84 that set their 80s path. The 90s return fixed the lineup with Daryl Smith alongside the original core, leading to Guilty as Charged, Two Monkeys, Here We Stand, Forever and Hand on Heart. On 18 July 2026 at Progresja in Warsaw, Poland, the set draws across that catalogue, from first‑wave material to recent songs, with choruses and concise riffs rooted in street punk. Regularly present on international punk festival stages like Rebellion and Riot Fest, Cock Sparrer brings their catalogue back to the stage with the same plainspoken drive.
