Bleachers

Bleachers land in Berlin with a set that traces Jack Antonoff’s path from New Jersey DIY to widescreen indie pop. On stage, the project sheds its studio skin: an expanded band, brass accents and gang vocals turn tight hooks into something physical and communal, built on drums that punch, synths that bounce and guitars that ring. It’s the live side of Bleachers, where arrangements breathe and small details spark between the band and the crowd.

Across Strange Desire and Gone Now to Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night and the self-titled 2024 record, Antonoff writes about family, memory and the suburbs; live, those themes come through with analog grit and a sense of motion. Newer cuts like We Should Talk connect back to the early days he sings about, and sit alongside staples like I Wanna Get Better, Rollercoaster or Don’t Take The Money without breaking the thread. Horns, handclaps, choral swells: the show swings between rushes of energy and slower build-ups made for singing together.
