OFF Nitsa: FDC DJs

FDC DJs arrive at Sala Apolo in Barcelona on June 19, 2026, with members of Fontaines D.C. at the helm. Formed in Dublin in 2017, Fontaines D.C. have forged a distinct voice between tense post‑punk and songwriting shaped by the Irish lyrical tradition. After their debut Dogrel and the more introspective turn of A Hero’s Death, the band pushed their sound toward darker, wider landscapes on Skinty Fia, and continued widening their focus on ROMANCE, exploring less rigid textures amid abrasive guitars, contained pulses and indie/noise atmospheres.

At the decks, that sonic map becomes a selection that embodies their DNA: rhythmic tension, clashing guitars and more contemplative passages, punctuated by echoes of spoken word and references that have fed their trajectory. They don’t rely on artifice: their taste leans toward songs with nerve and melodies that linger, skirting the edge of post‑punk with shoegaze layers and nods to alternative rock. The set is geared toward the dancefloor but leaves room for detail, designed to move without losing intensity, with the same direct, literary gaze that defines the Irish band.
