Austin’s Culture Wars brings its tense, melodic edge to RUST in Nørrebro, Copenhagen on 13 July 2026. Built around singer and guitarist Alex Dugan with David Grayson, Dillon Randolph, Caleb Contreras and Josh Stirm, the quintet writes lean alternative rock where nervy guitars, firm rhythms and pop-aware hooks lock into a direct, no-frills format. The band first made noise with a run of singles and the Teche EP, a step that clarified their sound and gave shape to a style that brushes up against new wave and post-punk through a sense of drive and restraint.

On stage, Culture Wars pushes that balance between raw energy and clear melodies: tight arrangements, upbeat tempos, vocals that cut through without overplaying the emotion, and choruses built to stick without leaning on big effects. The set threads together their early tracks and newer material with a focus on momentum, keeping things upfront and precise rather than expansive.
