On December 5, 2026, AB&B - Amager Bio in Copenhagen welcomes Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado. Led by Danish singer and guitarist Thorbjørn Risager, the band emerged from Copenhagen’s early-2000s blues scene before evolving into a wide-angled ensemble with horns, keyboards, guitar and a solid rhythm section. On stage they shape an electric blues that brushes up against rhythm and blues, rock and soul, shifting from tight, riff-led numbers to slower, melodic pieces with an americana tint. The set draws on albums like Too Many Roads, Change My Game, Come On In and Navigation Blues, where the sound leans toward rougher rock textures and at times a cinematic mood while staying rooted in a modern blues tradition. After years on European club and festival stages and tours beyond Denmark, including work with German label Ruf Records, their arrangements leave room for horns, keys, guitar and groove to step forward in turn.
