On November 6, 2026, at Sala Razzmatazz in Barcelona, Romanthica puts the spotlight on that midpoint between gothic rock, melodic metal and dark rock sung in Spanish. Guitars with an atmospheric texture, slow to mid tempos and a vocal register that looks inward sustain songs in a direct way, without foregoing the work on atmospheres. From Eterno (2014) to Músicas para el fin del mundo (2018), the band has refined a production that leaves room for keyboards and arrangements, and plays with contrasts: stripped passages versus heavier sections. Live, that mix translates into dark moods and a contained pulse, with the language and the emotion front and center. A balance between romantic rock and more metallic sonorities that here takes shape in a venue setting.
Completing the bill, Lex Lüger shifts the night toward synthwave/retrowave: mechanical drums, synthetic basses and 1980s-tinged melodies that seek nocturnal tension. His live set works with electronic layers and keyboard riffs with cinematic nods, suspended between nostalgia and rhythmic drive. An electronic side that converses with Romanthica’s darkness without losing its own identity.
