Hermanos Gutierrez

On August 30, 2026, Hermanos Gutiérrez arrive at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona with their two-guitar dialogue that traverses twilight western landscapes, Latin American echoes, slow surf and touches of Americana. Alejandro and Estevan, brothers born in Switzerland with Ecuadorian roots, launched the project in Zurich in the mid-2010s and committed to an austere instrumental approach: clear melodies, expansive reverbs and restrained tempos. It sounds cinematic because it opens scenes more than it delivers choruses.

From 8 Años (2017) and El Camino de mi Alma (2018) to Hoy como Ayer (2019) and Hijos del Sol (2020), they refined a sober, recognizable aesthetic. With Alegría (2021) and El Bueno y El Malo (2022), recorded with contributions from Dan Auerbach, they made a leap in scope and consolidated their place on independent circuits in Europe and the United States.

In this concert, the duo traces that trajectory with measured silences, melodic crossings and a serene tension that underpins each piece. The set moves without haste, between borderlike resonances and Andean turns, where the conversation between the two guitars sets the pulse and every note finds room to breathe.
