El Kanka

El Kanka arrives at Escenario Santander in Santander on 11 April 2026 with his recognizable blend of singer-songwriter material, rumba, touches of flamenco and Latin American echoes. Originally from Málaga and based between Málaga and Madrid, Juan Gómez Canca writes about everyday life with a gentle irony and an approachable tone that works equally well in whispered confidences and shared choruses. On stage he performs in a compact band format focused on guitar and light percussion, with understated arrangements and clear rhythms that invite effortless following.

The concert promises a journey through several stages of his career, from the early days of Lo mal que estoy y lo poco que me quejo and Juan Gómez’s El día de suerte to the most recent songs from El arte de saltar and Cosas de los vivientes. Between intimate ballads and carefree rumbas, El Kanka usually makes room for small stories, nods to the audience and multi-voice choruses. It’s a direct, unpretentious encounter where the lyrics take center stage and the interaction with the audience sets the pace of the evening.
