Mogwai « 30 Tour »

Mogwai bring the MOGWAI 30 Tour to Operaen in Copenhagen on 8 November 2026. Formed in mid-90s Glasgow by Stuart Braithwaite, Dominic Aitchison and Martin Bulloch, later joined by Barry Burns, the band has shaped a distinct post-rock language built on instrumentals, long arcs and the quiet-loud tension. From Mogwai Young Team and Come On Die Young to Rock Action, Mr Beast, Rave Tapes and Every Country’s Sun, their writing folds guitars, synths and loops into textures that often lean toward the cinematic. That path also runs through original scores for Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait, Les Revenants and Atomic, which feed a live setup where crescendos, drones and clipped melodies move without words. For this anniversary tour, the set looks across three decades: early slow-burners, later electronic hues and selections reworked from their soundtracks. Released mostly on their own Rock Action label, these pieces arrive on stage with tight dynamics, patient builds and sudden breaks, letting themes surface, distort and fall back into near silence.
