Steve Hackett: Best of Genesis & Solo Gems

Steve Hackett brings Best of Genesis & Solo Gems to AB&B – Amager Bio in Copenhagen on 18 May 2026. Guitarist and composer born in London in 1950, he joined Genesis in 1971 and helped define the band’s progressive years with albums like Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound and The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. Alongside that chapter, he opened a solo route with Voyage of the Acolyte, then kept moving between electric rock, classical guitar and wider influences, from Spectral Mornings to acoustic projects and, more recently, At the Edge of Light and Surrender of Silence.

On stage, Hackett revisits that catalogue with a band that knows how to balance storytelling, dynamics and detail: sustained leads, precise phrasing, acoustic interludes and arrangements built for long-form pieces. The Genesis Revisited thread brings early material back into focus while folding in key solo tracks, reshaped for a contemporary lineup. The set travels from atmospheric instrumentals to more driving sections, leaving space for guitar textures, keyboards and vocal harmonies, and tracing the line between his years with Genesis and the work he has been crafting ever since.
