Fink returns to Hamburg on 12 October 2026 at Große Freiheit 36 with songs from The City Is Coming to Erase It All, the ninth studio album by Fin Greenall and his trio. Written and recorded in Zennor, Cornwall, the record follows a strict 1974 rulebook under producer Sam Okell: if it didn’t exist back then, it stayed out. That lean, guitar‑first approach carries to the stage: voice, steel strings, bass and drums, unadorned and precise, close to the group’s folk and blues roots.

Greenall calls it nowstalgia—new music built with an old‑school ethos. Years of constant touring feed the performance: fresh material sits alongside staples from Perfect Darkness, Hard Believer or Bloom Innocent, arranged with album logic. City opens with a greeting and closes on an instrumental; the set leans into that arc, leaving space for silence, pulse and repetition.

From early downtempo beginnings on Ninja Tune to the acoustic turn of Biscuits for Breakfast, Fink has honed songs that favour texture over gloss. In Hamburg, it’s close‑knit playing, stories carried by guitar and voice, and a band still chasing the blue sky of a song.
