Drug Church

Drug Church will play at the Luxor in Cologne on 23 September 2026. Founded in the early 2010s in Albany, New York, the band around singer Patrick Kindlon balances between punk-hardcore, post-hardcore and alternative rock. Dense guitars, heavy grooves and direct melodies meet a half-spoken, half-sung delivery that soberly addresses everyday frustrations and social tensions. 2013’s Paul Walker marked the starting point of a rough but accessible sound, followed by Hit Your Head and the EP Swell. With Cheer (2018) and the EP stopover Tawny, the songwriting became more melodic without losing the energy of the early years; Hygiene (2022) carries that line forward.

Live, Drug Church relies on compact, forward-driving songs without much frill. The tracks keep pressure and tempo while leaving room for choruses that land. Between the hardcore club and classic guitar rock, the band feels at home where punk, emo and alternative overlap. In Cologne they bring exactly that mix to the stage—raw enough to hit hard, precise enough to linger.
