On 10 October 2026 Jill Scott will bring her To Whom This May Concern Tour to AFAS Live in Amsterdam. The Philadelphia singer made her name in the early-2000s American neo-soul scene by blending soul, contemporary R&B, jazz and spoken word. After getting her start on poetry slams and in coffeehouses, she co-wrote “You Got Me” for The Roots and broke through with her debut Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1 (2000). That was followed by Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2 and The Real Thing: Words and Sounds Vol. 3, as well as the live recording Experience: Jill Scott 826+.

On stage Scott emphasizes warm arrangements, groove and her expressive voice, with room for storytelling and spoken word. Later records such as The Light of the Sun (2011) and Woman (2015) broadened her palette toward jazz, funk and gospel; the setlist typically draws from her entire catalogue.
