On 5 April 2026 Cosmic Gate will play at the Melkweg in Amsterdam. The German duo of Nic Chagall and Bossi have been crafting their own strand of trance since the late 1990s: starting out with harder club tracks like The Drums, Exploration of Space and Fire Wire, and evolving into a melodic, progressive sound that prioritises space, tension and detail. You can hear that arc in their live show: long buildups, solid basslines and hooks that land precisely without becoming overloaded. Expect a set that smoothly shifts between their early-2000s material and more recent work from Earth Mover, Sign of the Times, Wake Your Mind and Start to Feel, supplemented by the texture and depth of Materia and Mosaiik Chapter One. Vocal moments featuring singers such as Emma Hewitt or Eric Lumiere appear in tight edits, but the focus remains on flow and energy. Cosmic Gate play with dynamics — from calmer progressions to immediate pay-offs — always with a mix that stays clear and gets the dancefloor moving. In the Melkweg setting, synth layers and percussion are given the right space, producing a set that links their catalogue to the current edge of trance and progressive house, delivered concisely and designed to keep people moving.
