On 28 March 2026 Selah Sue & The Gallands will be at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. Selah Sue, the Leuven singer-songwriter who blends soul, reggae and pop, places her low, flexible voice at the centre. Since her eponymous debut in 2011 she has moved between acoustic ballads, reggae grooves and hip‑hop influences; Reason (2015) shifted toward electronics and R&B without relinquishing its soulful base. With Persona (2022) she explores more candid themes, ranging from intimate pieces to tracks with greater pulse. Live she seeks the intersection of rhythm and melody, using syncopation, warm harmonies and immediate hooks that carry her songs.
The Gallands, the Brussels project led by drummer Stéphane Galland, explores contemporary jazz with groove, funk and improvisation as its driving forces. The band operates like a rhythmic lab: fluid structures, displaced time signatures and melodies that allow space for variation. Their sound is electric and urban, echoing both tradition and club culture, without a hard line between composition and improvisation. Together with Selah Sue they create a stage where her repertoire can breathe within a tight yet flexible groove framework, with strong attention to dynamics and group interplay.
