Le Youth

Le Youth, the alias of American producer and DJ Wes James, will play at Melkweg in Amsterdam on March 29, 2026. Since the early 2010s he has been developing his own take on house: initially at the intersection of club rhythms, R&B vocals and tight pop structures, later shifting toward a more melodic, progressive sound. His breakthrough came with "C O O L" (2013), followed by "Dance with Me" (2014); afterwards his palette expanded toward broader arrangements, longer arcs of tension and a precise play with textures and voices. On stage, this translates into slow-building sets, warm pads and drops that reclaim the dancefloor, with vocals serving as an anchor. His album "Reminders" (2022) marked that direction and still feeds his sets, supplemented by recent singles, remixes and edits. Expect a clear, spacious sound, synth layers that unfold slowly and percussion that keeps a tight, precise pulse: a through-line between R&B heritage, house tradition and the current wave of melodic electronic music, focused on dancefloor energy without losing its emotional core.
