On June 8, 2026, Theo Katzman will perform at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. The New York songwriter and multi-instrumentalist made his name with Vulfpeck, where he sharpened his sense of groove, multi-part vocal harmonies and punchy melodies. As a solo artist he explores the crossroads of 1970s pop-rock, soul and folk: compact songs, sparse arrangements and lyrics that are personal, with the occasional wink. Live it’s all about timing and interplay; as guitarist and singer he directs a band that brings the dynamics of his records to the stage, from languid soft rock to acoustic ballads.

The repertoire draws on his albums Romance Without Finance (2011), Heartbreak Hits (2017), Modern Johnny Sings: Songs in the Age of Vibe (2020) and Be the Wheel (2024). Expect a set that places new material alongside established live favorites, with room for vocal harmonies, subtle grooves and that clear, melodic songwriting style he refined within the Vulfpeck circle. Now based in Los Angeles, Katzman stays close to the song: direct, rhythmically precise and made to breathe live.
