Paul Carrack

On 27 October 2026 Paul Carrack will perform at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven in Eindhoven. The singer, songwriter and keyboardist from Sheffield has built a career since the 1970s that straddles pop‑rock and soul. With Ace he put his voice on the map with "How Long"; later he had stints with Roxy Music and Squeeze, where he sang "Tempted." In the mid‑1980s he became one of the voices of Mike + The Mechanics, on songs such as "Silent Running," "The Living Years" and "Over My Shoulder." At the same time he developed a solo career with albums like Suburban Voodoo, One Good Reason, Groove Approved and Blue Views, shaped by melodic pop, blue‑eyed soul and ballads.

In Eindhoven Carrack will present a set drawing from his solo albums and from the repertoires of Ace, Squeeze and Mike + The Mechanics. The emphasis is on songs and melody, with keyboard parts central and that recognisable phrasing to the fore. It’s an opportunity to hear the voice behind "How Long," "Tempted" and "The Living Years" perform his own catalogue alongside the songs from his band years.
