Info
Puma Blue brings his intimate late‑night music to Melkweg, Amsterdam on May 21, 2026. Puma Blue, the alter ego of Jacob Allen, who grew up in South London and is now based in Atlanta, has built his own universe with the EPs Swum Baby and Blood Loss, followed by the debut album In Praise of Shadows and the concert film A Late Night Special. His songs breathe space: a soft, high vocal line, sparse arrangements and silences that say as much as the notes. Live he appears with a tight-knit band, where songs are allowed to unfurl through improvisation and tension that slowly rises and subsides.
After Holy Waters (2023), a more collective record about loss and new beginnings, he surprised with antichamber (2025), a minimalist album that returns to the essentials. On stage this translates into slow builds, fluid rhythms and guitar lines that scrape and tumble, with jazz-tinged chords and a warm, dreamlike glow. Expect a set moving between slumbering soul, indie and unadorned electronics, in which every breath and every pause help shape what makes Puma Blue so recognisably compelling live.
