Info
GA-20 brings their direct, guitar-driven electric blues to Metropool in Enschede on 26 March 2026. The Boston trio, formed in the late 2010s, draws on 1950s and 1960s Chicago blues, rhythm & blues and early rock 'n' roll. Centered on guitarist Matthew Stubbs (who also plays with harmonica player Charlie Musselwhite) and singer-guitarist Pat Faherty, the band has built a compact lineup without a bass—just a drummer to set the tone. Live, the focus is on tight riffs, midtempo grooves and the call-and-response between voice and guitars, with simple, purposeful arrangements.
Since their debut Lonely Soul (2019), GA-20 has carved out its own path. In 2021 the trio explored Hound Dog Taylor’s repertoire with GA-20 Does Hound Dog Taylor: Try It... You Might Like It!, followed by Crackdown (2022), where shuffles, boogies and slower numbers sit side by side. On stage the songs remain short and to the point, leaving room for the interplay of the two guitars and the propulsive drums. The set compiles selections from their records and highlights the energy of their live performance.
