Fu Manchu

Formed in 1985 under the name Virulence, Fu Manchu helped define the heavy, fuzz-forward sound that came to be known as stoner rock alongside bands like Kyuss, Monster Magnet and Sleep. With 13 albums behind them and decades on the road, the quartet has built a loyal following around thick riffs, rolling grooves and lyrics that drift between muscle cars, skate, vans and sci‑fi.

On 11 August 2026 at Technikum in Munich, Scott Hill, Brad Davis, Bob Balch and Scott Reeder plug back into that raw, guitar-driven energy. Expect a set that leans on the band’s long-haul catalog while leaving space for recent releases: after a pause in new full-lengths, Fu Manchu kept busy with a live album, six reissues, three EPs and a soundtrack for Glen E. Friedman’s documentary A Look Back – Dogtown & Z‑Boys. Live, they strip things to the essentials: low-tuned guitars, tight rhythms, unhurried tempos and a laid-back bite that turns small details into big moments.
