Yellow Days

Yellow Days, aka George van den Broek, brings his blend of soul, psychedelic R’n’B and indie rock to Berlin. On 30 April 2026 at the Säälchen the British singer will present the full range of his project: a raw, distinctive voice, warm harmonies in the spirit of the ’60s and ’70s, and a lo-fi patina that gives his songs an intimate edge. He first gained recognition with early DIY releases, the EP Harmless Melodies (2016) and the song "Gap in the Clouds." His debut album Is Everything Okay in Your World? (2017) revolved around moods, relationships and the lingering aftermath of youthful confusion, before A Day in a Yellow Beat (2020) opened up the arrangements and brought the grooves to the fore. With Inner Peace (2023) he consolidated the hybrid of bedroom aesthetics and band energy.

Live, Yellow Days relies on a tight-knit lineup that emphasizes soul grooves, wide chordal textures and improvisational moments. Older songs meet newer tracks, carried by organs, funky basslines and shimmering guitars. An evening for anyone who likes to move back and forth between introspective songwriting and bodily rhythm.
