Dianne Reeves & Romero Lubambo

Info

On March 11, 2026, at Music Hall Worpswede e.V. (Findorffstraße 21, 27726 Worpswede), US singer Dianne Reeves and Brazilian guitarist Romero Lubambo will appear together as a duo. Two voices — one vocal, one on six strings — leaving room for songs, improvisation and subtle nuances.

Dianne Reeves has shaped vocal jazz for decades. Her richly hued voice combines effortless phrasing, scat and influences from R&B. Five Grammys, collaborations with Wynton Marsalis and renowned orchestras, the NEA Jazz Masters honor from the National Endowment for the Arts, and her contribution to the film score of Good Night, and Good Luck mark milestones in her career. On stage she relies on narrative presence, flexible melodic arcs and the play of silence and dynamics.

Romero Lubambo brings the elegance of Brazilian guitar art into the conversation: harmonically agile, rhythmically precise, attentive to the breath of the voice. In dialogue with Reeves he spans the range from ballads and jazz standards to Brazil‑tinged pieces — pared down to voice and guitar, close to the core of the songs.
