Info

On 14 November 2026, Interpol and Bloc Party will share the stage at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf.

Interpol, founded in New York in the late 1990s by Paul Banks, Daniel Kessler and Sam Fogarino, is known for a clear post‑punk revival sound. The debut Turn On the Bright Lights, with tracks like “PDA,” “Obstacle 1” and “NYC,” established their blend of sharp-edged guitars, driving bass work and urban melancholy, with echoes of Joy Division and The Chameleons. With albums such as Antics, Our Love to Admire, El Pintor and The Other Side of Make-Believe, the trio developed their approach further without losing their distinctive signature.

Bloc Party formed in 2003 around singer and guitarist Kele Okereke, together with Russell Lissack, Gordon Moakes and Matt Tong. Early EPs Bloc Party and Little Thoughts (2004, V2) drew attention, followed by support slots for Franz Ferdinand. Their first album, Silent Alarm, appeared in 2005, followed by A Weekend in the City in 2007; after a break and Okereke’s solo projects, the band returned in 2012 with Four. Their songs combine nervous riffs, wiry rhythms and a clear pop edge.
