Frei.Wild: Immer unter Feuer

On May 22, 2026, Frei.Wild will take the stage at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne with the "Always Under Fire" tour. The band from Brixen in South Tyrol plays German-language rock that sits between melodic hard rock, punk edges and choruses crafted for singalongs. The lineup comprises Philipp Burger (vocals, guitar), Jonas Notdurfter (guitar), Jochen Gargitter (bass) and Christian Fohrer (drums). In their German-language lyrics, everyday observations, friendship and a sense of home meet social topics that repeatedly spark debate; the quartet expressly distances itself from extremist appropriation and remains firmly rooted in the rock scene.

Live, Frei.Wild blends powerful electric guitars with more stripped-back moments, as found on the acoustic albums Still and Still II. The set reaches deep into their repertoire with songs from Feinde deiner Feinde (Enemies of Your Enemies), Opposition, Rivalen und Rebellen (Rivals and Rebels) and Wirklichkeitsverlust (Loss of Reality). The show relies on direct energy, anthemic hooks and a tight rhythm section. After years on festival and arena stages in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the band presents in Cologne a cross-section of more than two decades—compact, loud and to the point.
