Max Mutzke - So viel mehr - Eine musikalische Lesung

On 20 February 2026, Max Mutzke will appear with "So Much More — A Musical Reading" at Music Hall Worpswede e.V. in Worpswede. The singer-songwriter combines reading and concert here: he reads personal texts, recounts moments that have shaped his songs, and repeatedly reaches for the microphone to perform new and familiar songs in stripped-down, intimate arrangements.

Since his early breakthrough in the mid-2000s, Mutzke has embodied a soul-infused pop language with touches of funk and jazz. Between ballad-like calm and groovy numbers, he has developed a repertoire that comes alive on stage — both in intimate settings and with large ensembles, for example in projects with the NDR Radiophilharmonie. In Worpswede he puts the stories behind the music at the forefront: insights into the writing process, experiences from the road and the studio, moments of doubt and of new beginnings.
